I can see that you landed here to know more about me. Well, get ready to dive into the tale of my life. Buckle up!
I’ve come to the world in a small Middle Eastern country called Lebanon. You may have heard about it from the news, but I assure you it’s a beautiful place (with great food, I hear you!). There, I embraced the world of TV and Cinema, earning myself a bachelor’s degree that practically shouted “Ultimate Movie Buff.” Not one to back down, I set my sights higher and snagged a master’s degree in Film Directing from the Lebanese University – Institute of Fine Arts and Architecture.
Interwoven (adj.)
Linked or locked closely together; to weave truth with fiction.
On an unexpected vacation in the European Georgia, I crawled to an underground tattoo artist with an idea in my head: my favorite word. If you’re a nerd like me (who has a “favorite word”?), you’ll like the sound of it. Interwoven. Everything meets something else, every story is linked to another, every conflict is locked with someone else. Just like life, written stories should be.

In my early experiments, I wrote and directed my very first short film:
“The Stream” (known as “Le Ruisseau” for the French flavor).
With a cast including Christine Choueiri, Boutros Rouhana, Ralf Bou Chaya, and Bissan Ahmad, this cinematic creation traveled the world to collect my very first set of awards.
I’m all about crafting captivating stories within cozy settings (well, not so cozy story wise). Think scripts that’ll have you hanging at the edge of your seat, and acting that’s as epic as a superhero movie. “What’s Your Name” with the fabulous Randa Kaady and Nassib Sebaaly in the spotlight spread its wings and flew to a whopping 50 countries. Places like Russia, Italy, USA, UAE, and even my hometown Lebanon welcomed it!
(Fun fact: a lot of strangers hugged me crying. Am I sorry that my film touched you? Maybe not?)
Fast forward to 2019, and I found myself in a Sesame Workshop masterclass in Jordan. Out of a pool of 20 writers from across the Arab World, I snagged a spot to co-write the Arabic-language sensation “Ahlan Simsim” (yep, that’s the cooler cousin of Sesame Street).
After conquering the film scene, I took a spin in the world of TV series. 2022 welcomed me to the 2Pure Studios crew, where I dove headfirst into the wild world of voice-over writing. But wait, there’s more! I’ve been whipping up some TV magic with not one, but two docu-drama series. First, “The Goal,” a dive into the life of Saudi football legend Saeed Al Owairan, had folks glued to their screens on Shahid. And the excitement doesn’t stop there—my second project, tentatively named “Ghayeb” (or “Disappeared” for my non-Arabic pals), is currently strutting its pre-production stuff.
Remember that little film “What’s Your Name“? Well, its success lit a fire, and I’ve been cooking up plans to turn it into a full-blown feature film. Plus, I made a creative pit stop at the Rawi Residency in 2022 with the Royal Film Committee in Jordan. Oh, the places creativity takes you! (And the creepy silence of the desert!)
But that’s not all, dear reader. (I’m almost done, I’m happy you kept scrolling). I’m currently crafting a fantastic new adventure—a captivating crime novel titled “The Excuses I Give Her.” (Oh, are you a publisher?)
By the beginning of 2023, I relocated to Greater Vancouver, BC, Canada. Moving your life abroad after a wild journey could be pretty challenging. But success has its beautiful repercussions. I started teaching Film Studies at two colleges in Canada, having taught over 500 students so far, inspiring one class at a time.
And that, my friend, sums up my journey so far—a whirlwind of film fun, TV excitement, and a touch of literary and educational charm. Stay tuned, because who knows what wacky and wonderful chapters await in the next installment of my life!
I hope you’ll be part of it.
